[Announcement] In-Person Event on the Digital Agenda in Parliaments in Washington, DC, USA
LegisTech: Digital Agenda in Parliaments
Bússola Tech, in collaboration with (OAS), is honoured to present the “LegisTech: Digital Agenda in Parliaments.” Scheduled to take place on May 8th and 9th, 2025, in Washington, DC, this year’s convening will bring together Members of Parliament (MPs) and key parliamentary figures from around the globe to engage in thought-provoking discussions on the digital future of legislative institutions.
Building on the foundation laid in previous high-level discussions, this year’s conference focuses on how emerging technologies - particularly AI - can support Parliaments in meeting the challenges of tomorrow. From shaping effective digital agendas and bolstering cybersecurity measures, to modernising parliamentary procedures and enhancing public trust through greater transparency, the programme is designed to probe the intersection of governance, technology, and democratic innovation.
Over two days, MPs and their peers will share insights, exchange best practices, and explore strategies for advancing inter-parliamentary co-operation. The ultimate aim is to empower Parliaments to become more inclusive, efficient, and future-ready.
By bringing together a diverse set of voices and experiences, the conference seeks to highlight the transformative potential of digital tools in shaping parliamentary representation for generations to come. We look forward to an enriching exchange that will help foster stronger, more resilient democratic institutions worldwide.
The event will not be streamed. A publication will be drafted and distributed openly.
